Doctor Lynn Aesthetics
Doctor Lynn Aesthetics offers wrinkle softening treatments for the lines of the upper face-namely the frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet around the eyes. Wrinkle softening treatments to the upper lip, upper brow and axilla (armpits) for excess sweating are also available. In addition we provide dermal fillers to replace lost volume in the lines between the nose and mouth (the naso-labial folds), lips, cheeks and marionettes (lines from the corners of your mouth). Skin boosters such as Profhilo and Restylane Vital, Microneedling and Sculptra treatments are also available. All this from a qualified, practising, local GP.
The aim is to look fresher and more youthful, perhaps “well rested”. Often in the case of facial aesthetics the aim is to look natural, so that it will not be obvious that you have had a helping hand!
We are situated in a convenient, private location between Inverness and Nairn. In addition, all appointments are individual, so you can be assured of maximum discretion. We have flexible appointments in the daytime, evening and weekends.
FAQ’s
Wrinkle softening treatments last 3 to 4 months. Dermal fillers will last 6 to 12 months.
Wrinkle softening treatments are a relatively pain-free procedure. Very fine insulin needles are used to reduce pain and bruising. No local anaesthetic is required. Dermal fillers have local anaesthetic in them which makes them more comfortable. In addition a topical local anaesthetic is applied before the procedure to reduce pain.
After treatment there may be some redness and swelling at the injection sites which settle after a few hours. Bruising can occur with both wrinkle softening treatments and fillers but tends to settle over a matter of days and can be easily disguised with make up.
You will look more rested and youthful. Lines will fade and volume will be replaced.
The 3 main areas where wrinkle softening treatments are used are the forehead, frown lines between the eyebrows, and crows feet. Dermal fillers replace volume in the lips, the lines between the nose and mouth (the nasolabial folds), cheeks and lines beneath the mouth (marionette lines). Treatment is also available for excessive under arm sweating.
Wrinkle softening treatments have been used for therapeutic purposes since the 1970s, and is used every day for various different medical problems in NHS hospitals. With experienced practitioners the use of wrinkle softening treatments are very safe. Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid – a substance found in all our bodies. In addition to cosmetic procedures, hyaluronic acid is used in the treatment of joint problems, and eye procedures in hospitals.
